Just today i managed to install linux 6.0 (6.1 has some bugs with the internet for ps3) and with it i managed to stream Pcx2 to my ps3. Its pretty cool because now i have the ability to use the sixaxis with the emulator(im on a 64bit vista so i can\'t use sixaxis on the pc) and i get to see the image on the big screen (note that graphically quality is reduced somewhat).

With the various free Linux distributions just a few clicks away, this underutilized feature can allow for some pretty crazy possibilities. The latest use of PS3-based Linux comes by way of StreamMyGame, a cross-platform software application that allows streaming of games from one PC to another on a local area network. This effectively allows gamers to play their PC games on their PS3s in the comfort of their living rooms. StreamMyGame\'s Richard Faria explains:
I have a PS3 in my living room and PC in my office and my two kids both have old PCs in their bedrooms. Now we can play games anywhere around the home. StreamMyGame\'s technology networks the power of a main PC so it can be used to play high-end games on other PCs, PS3s and Linux devices.
Support for Ubuntu and Yellow Dog Linux, two popular distros for the PlayStation 3, has been added to the software to make this process as simple as possible. Much like the PSP\'s remote play function, StreamMyGame basically captures a stream of the game running on the host computer and then transmits the stream to the client elsewhere on the network. Online support is coming later this year.
